3rd February

Dear Parents/Carers

We were sorry to see Mrs Turner go yesterday, however, Mrs Longstaff is now with us until half term week and settled in very well with the Year 1 children today.

Next week, we will have Mrs Strangeways and Mrs Edmison in EYFS, Mrs Longstaff teaching the Year 1s, assisted by Mrs Sanderson (Teaching Assistant) and Mr Stafford and Mrs Walsh teaching the Year 4s.

On Tuesday we have our visits to Kyloe Woods for the EYFS children and North Bellshill Farm for the Year 1 – 4 children. The children will need packed lunches, unless they have a school one, and warm coats and suitable footwear for outdoor activities. They will return to school for the afternoon session.

Mrs Kerry Bone will be working with the EYFS children after half term week as a Supply Teacher. She will be spending a few mornings in HQ before then, in order to get to know the children, and will be accompanying them on the visit to Kyloe Woods on Tuesday.

We have been experiencing lots of problems with the Northumberland County Council email accounts. This is a county wide issue and the NCC IT team are working on resolving it as soon as possible. All emails received have been replied to, but sincere apologies if you have not received a reply, or we have not received one that you sent to us. Please do get in touch again if this is the case.

After School Clubs next week are:

Monday 6th February – Archery Club (Year 3 & 4s only)

Tuesday 7th February – Sports Club

Wednesday 8th February – Making Club

Thursday 9th February – Games Club

Mr Stafford and Mrs Strangeways are holding a meeting on Thursday 16th February at 2.40pm for Year 3 & 4 parents about the residential at Whithaugh in March.

And finally, a reminder that Nativity DVDs can be ordered (£5 each) by contacting Mrs Blenkinsop.

I hope you have a good weekend.

Kind Regards

Caroline Elsey
